Join a builder on a growth trajectory, and all the opportunities that brings for personal development The Role This role is ideal for a Senior Contract Administrator who has delivered a variety of projects, and has strong commercial and contractual nous - on projects over $10M. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of contract staff, working along side Project Managers and supporting more junior CA's. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and evaluating construction tenders Overseeing budgets and managing project costs Handling Requests for Information (RFIs) Managing contract variations Administering progress claims The Builder Located close to Melbourne's CBD, this well-known, established new build and refurb company specialises in medium sized projects for new builds, commercial fit-outs, and building renovation, often within the $5-$25M range but occasionally pricing projects to the value of $35M, and with aspirations to continue growing their average project value and establish themselves as a larger tier builder. They’ve been working across a range of sectors, including: Health/Medical Education Hospitality Showrooms Commercial buildings Government & institutional Are you suitable? We’re seeking candidates with experience in Melbourne’s Head Contracting Tier 2 and 3 space. However, attitude is just as important as experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to developing their skills. This role is suited to individuals at an Intermediate to Senior CA level (dependent on market experience), with tailored support provided based on your experience. You’ll be working on-site under the mentorship of a Contracts Manager. To excel in this role, you’ll need: To have worked as lead CA across a good number of projects (likely 5 projects) within the project tyles mentioned above, and experience procuring all common sub-contract packages Must have significant experience operating in Melbourne's commercial building, head contracting market. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
